About Us
Jamaican Twist Carnival Club are a MAS band organisation that was founded in 2002. The band brings together people from a wealth of different backgrounds and all ages.
We promote carnival in a very unique way, our Mas represents Jamaica and with that “out of many one people”. This means that while representing Jamaica we also recognise the many different peoples and backgrounds that make up Jamaica as a country.
We try to represent this within our band by promoting diversity. Jamaican representation within the carnival Mas on the road brings a different dynamic that is unique in its own right.
We are happy to and indeed on occasions collaborate with other bands representing other Islands and Countries such as Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil and The South Pacific Islnaders . In 2008 London Notting Hill carnival was set alight with our colour, music, vigour and diversity. The Theme was based on Jamaica’s National bird – ‘The Streamer Tail’ AKA ‘The Doctor Bird’

The band is a developing one that is making good progress year on year. Everyone is welcome to join up and become a part of this wonderful group.
We will be developing costumes within our band and will be looking to utilise the creative skills of the people from within.
We also want to develop the dancing culture that Jamaica has championed and pioneered throughout the many decades.
